An elegant wedding at Chateau de Lisse. South of France. / Un mariage élégant au Château de Lisse. Sud de la France

An elegant and timeless wedding of Lucy and Jared, which took place in an old French castle Chateau de Lisse, in the South of France, unique and luxurious.
Here is what  Lucy tell us about her unforgetteble wedding:

"Family means everything to us, and given Jared is Australian & I’m English our families largely hadn’t met. We had been looking for a venue where we could have both our families stay, and also have the ceremony & reception all onsite.

There weren’t many places big enough in the UK, and Jared had decided it should be on this side of the world. France seemed like a location with lots of travel options (Planes, Trains, Driving or Ferry) and there were plenty of Chateau’s to choose from.
We settled on Chateau de Lisse thanks to the accommodation, travel & location. The ability to supply your own bar and its beautiful chapel were also deciding factors for us.

Once we’d decided on the venue, there was no going back and things started to fall into place. Our wedding stationary was designed by Jared and brought to live with illustrations done by my best friend, the amazingly talented Louise McGuire (nee Tanner). The dress was not what I’d wanted at all, but I fell in love with the feathers & ‘fun’ bottom. We wanted a relaxed feel over dinner, so we went with sharing plates and knew we wanted a free bar for guests in the evening. The converted horse trailer at the chateau was great.

We had a wonderful day, and Elena captured it brilliantly. We asked Elena to come later than usual (1:30 for a 2:30 ceremony) as we weren’t concerned about having photos of us getting ready, opting instead for more photos with our guests later in the day. From the moment Elena arrived though, she worked tirelessly to maximise the time with us. She still managed to do all the preparation photos, and stayed past our last dance to capture everything we wanted.

Over the course of the day she was everywhere, and yet unseen. Everyone remarked on how great she was, capturing us, our guests and the venue. She really listed to the style we wanted, and what we wanted to capture. She made us feel at ease and relaxed.
As if that wasn’t wonderful enough, Elena got us a selection of photos 2 days after the wedding and then sent us a beautifully presented usb stick within a month.

Honestly, she was a dream. I couldn’t recommend Elena enough.

We had a really wonderful wedding, and we are so grateful to our family & friends for travelling all that way to be with us."

Rustic and glam wedding in Chateau de Lisse.

Maggie and Daniel chose to celebrate their love by enjoying a destination wedding in the south of France with their loved ones. The day was full of family traditions including a Chinese tea ceremony.

Here is what Maggie and Daniel say about their wedding:

"We chose to use Elena as our wedding photographer as we loved her style of photography the most out of everyone we had seen. We are so pleased that we did choose Elena!

We were very excited for the wedding. We were drawn to SW France for its culture and weather, and we were lucky that we had glorious sunshine and blue skies on our wedding. The venue was as beautiful as we remembered it from our brief visit. We remembered the beautiful decor indoors and vast outdoor area for plenty of photos. We ended up choosing a colour theme of navy, gold and blush pink, our decor was combined with rustic and glam, a crazy combination, but it worked thankfully. Our various outfits (traditional Chinese and western) all came together with the decor and Elena caught it all beautifully.  She stayed with us for a good 12 hours for the whole day.
Elena, has been extremely professional, very polite and sincere. She took a huge amount of photos, promptly linked us to these on the internet and sent us a beautifully boxed set of discs with all the photos on it. It was such lovely touch to have select photos printed on to the CD itself too.

She moved around throughout the whole day and for some of it, I didn’t even know she was there taking photos! She was doing such a wonderful job!"

Mariage royal au Château la Commanderie. Aude. France.Shooting d'inspiration. Royal wedding theme.

Larroque (81). A picturesque wedding in the South of France

Lindsay & Gilles are a couple from Canada, who married at the wonderful  Château de la Vère in southern France.

Surrounded by dreamy scenery in a picturesque French village, Puycelsi, Lindsay & Gilles exchanged their vows in the old church, in an atmosphere of effortless romance. The bride, adorned with a delicate and chic wedding dress that she created herself, according to the elegance of her surrounds.

The Château de la Vère, where the special day has been celebrated, is a hidden gem in the heart of the Midi-Pyrenees region, full of French charm and elegance.

And even the thunderstorm at the end of this hot day did not spoil the mood of the guests, they were dancing in the rain, with a rhythm perfectly animated by UNDJCHEZVOUS.

It was probably one of my best weddings of the past year.

Vacances à Toulouse. Shooting photos d'inspiration. Holydays in Toulouse. Inspiration shooting photos.

Love photo session in the mountains of Pyrenees, France.

Do you remember the nice  american couple  Anna & James, whose beautiful wedding in Château de Goudourville I posted in my blog some month ago ( you can see it HERE)
So ,now I want to show there's engagement  photo session. Last spring Anna and James just  came to live in France and wanted to discover all beauty of our mountain region. By coincidence I'm a big fan of Ariege:). I think it's a pure dimond, not spoiled by civilization.  That's why I was really glad to show them all this treasures. We began  the love photo session in the valley of Leze.  Fields  with tender  light purple  flowers are perfect  reflect romantic atmosphere of the day. By the way, if somebody know the name of these purple flowers I'll be very thankful if you can tell me it:).
Later, we moved on to the capital of Ariege- Foix, which located in the heart of the Pyrenean mountains, with it's nice medieval streets and grandiose Chateau de Foix. We continued our journey by climbing on breathtaking Plateau de Beille. More we climbed, more we felt how the nature change. Metamorphose from  warm spring , full of flowers  and, 1500 meter higher,  is just  the beginning  of spring: almost no flowers, but grass like a warm carpet, and we had impression that  we are alone in the whole world.
It was most long (almost 6 hours) engagement session that I got, but I love it so much.
And now it's your turn to feel spring in the air.
